    Discover the translucent and opaque nature of wax and its ability to show depth. Techniques covered will include collage, image layering, combining oil and wax, glazing, scraping and scribing and various ways of drawing in wax. The basic core of encaustic technique and safety information will be covered, but certain techniques will be emphasized and demonstrated in more detail. No prior experience with encaustic is necessary. This workshop is led by Michelle Marcuse.
