    Explore the basic principles of painting, drawing, design, values, color and edges within the beautiful grounds of Shofuso Japanese House Garden in West Fairmount Park. MLAC will discuss how simple shapes and values can result in capturing the essence of the scene. The day will begin with a demo and the emphasis for the workshop will be on the use and understanding of color. Students may work in the medium of their choice. This workshop is led by Carol Kardon.
