Betsy Ross suffered numerous tragedies in her lifetime. Many of her loved ones, including her parents, two of her children and all three husbands, departed long before she did, leaving her behind to ponder her own mortality. Learn about Philadelphia’s Yellow Fever epidemics and see mourning art and hair jewelry up close. Proudly exhibited in cooperation with The Museum of Mourning Art.
