Workshop: Improve Your Soil: Vermicomposting
November 6, 2010
Join Mark Highland, founder and president of Organic Mechanics–a company “passionate about all natural, sustainable gardening that provides superior results"--to create your very own valuable soil amendment. Vermicomposting is a process where worms consume and transform organic materials into worm castings, a rich usable addition for the soil. Worm castings are valued for their ability to increase soil moisture and provide for better soil structure and biology. You will learn all about the process of vermicomposting and how to have healthier soil that is more alive, and create a worm bin to take home with you! Cost includes materials for the bin; coupons to obtain worms will be distributed in class.
