Join Jeff Jabco and Eleanor Tickner, co-founders of the Mid-Atlantic Peony Society for an afternoon, hands-on, gardening workshop to learn about tree and herbaceous peonies. They will discuss siting, garden use and plant combinations. Then, in the gardens of the Scott Arboretum, you will dig up some peonies for division, talk about propagation of tree peonies, plant some new peonies for the collection, and talk about season-long care for these long-lived, very tolerant plants. Please dress for the weather and wear "gardening gear," and be prepared to discuss your questions with the Scott Arboretum gardeners who care for this collection, and with members of MAPS. MAPS will be selling some peonies after the workshop.
