In Wrestling With The Angels: Religion and Spirituality in the City of Sisterly and Brotherly Loves, the third of four exhibits this year, the Center will examine the complex relationship between Philadelphia’s LGBT community and religion. Using material from the John J Wilcox Jr. LGBT Archive you’ll see how Greater Philadelphia’s churches and congregations have met this challenge, and you’ll hear the stories of some of the extraordinary men and women whose compassion, courage and understanding have helped forge new spiritual paths in our communities. This exhibit will be on display through September 24.
