Pennsylvania Coast Day
September 11, 2010
Pennsylvania Coast Day is a free festival for families. Visitors will have four ways to experience the Delaware River. These include free tours on the RiverLink Ferry (first 1,200 people), $5 kayak lessons and $5 pedal-boat rides. New Jersey’s official tall ship, the A.J. Meerwald, will also be in port. Its crew is offering sailing trips. There will also be numerous exhibits inside and outside the Independence Seaport Museum (special $5 admission rate). Kids can get their faces painted, make a craft and earn a prize (supplies limited). Attendees can also take a free shuttle to the Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center, located beside the Schuylkill River. Pennsylvania Coast Day brought to you by the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary.
