Metropolis has been performing in the greater Philadelphia area for the past five years. The band has been described as tight, jazzy, and grooving. The band hails from their new home of West Chester, PA where four of the five band members attend school. The group performs original music as well as an eclectic set of covers ranging from beauty of Jeff Buckley, the upbeat ska music of Streetlight Manifesto, to the heavy grooves of Incubus and Muse. Metropolis has performed in a variety of venues including The 8x10 in Baltimore, MD; The Balcony at The Trocadero in Philadelphia, PA; Philly Rising at World Cafe Live; Fennario's in West Chester; The Kennett Flash, Saxby's Coffee, Cafe Lindo in Kennett Square, PA; and numerous local benefit performances. Los Festingos is a local band that has no limits. They specialize in no particular genre and their songs are about no particular subject. Rather, Los Festingos represent a celebration of boundless fun and utter nonsense in all its magnificent manifestations. Equal parts gimmick, quirk and creativity, there is nothing quite like a live performance from this outrageously unique band. Featuring the inventive beats of Chris Ruffini on drums, the explosive solos of lead guitarist Buckminster Kellorgg, the good vibes from legendary bassist Tim Gould and the ridiculous antics of lead singer Sam Kwietniak, Los Festingos literally offers something for everyone.
