France’s most stylish young quartet makes its Kimmel Center debut as part of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts. The Ebène's 2009 recording of the Debussy, Ravel and Fauré quartets was named Recording of the Year by Gramophone, and on tonight’s program they’ll play those first two Gallic masterpieces alongside Bela Bartók’s Quartet No. 3—a piece that the composer dedicated nearly 85 years ago to the Musical Fund Society of Philadelphia.
