Cellist Hai-Ye Ni and Pianist Cecile Licad
March 22, 2011
The principal cellist of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Hai-Ye Ni, teams up with the “pianist’s pianist”, Cecile Licad, for a special concert in intimate Benjamin Franklin Hall. Cello sonatas by Mendelssohn, Britten and Prokofiev highlight a program that also includes Manuel de Falla’s evocative, Spanish folk music-inspired Populaire Espagnole suite.
