Formed in Prague in 1972, the Prazák Quartet is the foremost inheritor of the long and storied tradition of Czech quartet playing. Earning critical acclaim for their technical mastery and expressive lyricism, the group is well known for trademark “performances that grab you by the collar and refuse to behave” (Los Angeles Times). The Prazák’s can’t miss program at the Perelman Theater includes Czech composer Bohuslav Martinu’s sixth quartet, Haydn’s Rider quartet and Schubert’s Death and the Maiden.
