Named for the mythical Greek inventor and artist who devised wings enabling him to fly, the Daedalus Quartet was founded in the summer of 2000 and, one year later, won the Grand Prize of the Banff International String Quartet Competition. Quartets by Mozart and Wernick highlight a program that also includes Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet in A Major with the exciting young virtuoso Alexander Fiterstein on clarinet.
