Comprised of 17 leading soloists and chamber musicians of the younger generation (many of whom are principals in major American orchestras), ECCO combines the power and expansiveness of a great orchestral ensemble with the personal involvement and spontaneity of chamber music. "The youthful vigor of the group created a kind of heat that took the music-making to a higher or deeper place," raved the Philadelphia Inquirer after their PCMS debut. Featuring works by Shostakovich and Janacek, their return engagement at the Seaport Museum promises virtuosity, commitment and joyous music-making.
