Violinist Midori and Pianist Robert McDonald
November 16, 2010
It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 25 years since Midori’s legendary performance at Tanglewood—the one that resulted in the New York Times front page headline, "Girl, 14, Conquers Tanglewood with 3 Violins.” Today the one-time child prodigy remains “a superb violinist in a class by herself” (Baltimore Sun). Known for her lustrous tone and sensitive interpretations, Midori returns to the Perelman Theater with her favorite accompanist, pianist Robert McDonald, for a program featuring sonatas by Mozart, Bartók and Bach.
