Bucks County native Elizabeth Pitcairn performs in partnership with one of the world’s most legendary instruments, the Red Mendelssohn Stradivarius of 1720, said to have inspired the Academy award-winning film The Red Violin. Her PCMS recital, with local favorite Marcantonio Barone on piano, features sonatas by Mozart, Beethoven and Saint-Saens and the world premiere of a new sonata by Philadelphia’s own David Finko.
