Spend a week discovering the history and wildlife at Valley Forge National Historical Park by becoming a Junior Park Ranger! - For kids ages 8 - 12.

Meet the characters of the American revolution and experience their stories, see fossils from animals that roamed Valley Forge during the Great Ice Age (like the giant ground sloth and saber-toothed cat), spend a day on the stream and join the 'Crayfish Corps,' hike through forests and meadows and discover critters that make the park home, and just enjoy exploring the outdoors in a National Park. Earn your Junior Ranger badge and certificate to show family and friends.

This outdoor-based program is held rain or shine and participants should bring appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear, lunch, water, healthy portable snacks and sun/insect protection each day.

This program is offered through the Upper Merion Township Parks and Recreation department.  Please refer to their web site for the most current schedule and fees at: http://www.uppermerionparkandrec.org/
