This exciting new workshop will expose you to the joys of decorative paper painting and paper making. Fairmount Art Center will have both processes set up for you to explore in length. Paste papers are a fun and ancient technique that combines wheat paste with acrylic paint applied to paper with brushes, combs, dabbers, and more. Experiment with colors mixing over the surface and make an array of really cool patterns and textures. Dried papers can be used as book covers, cards, in collages, or stand on there own. The second process explores another ancient art form from China but with a modern twist.
