Patrick Dougherty
March 30-April 18, 2009
This spring, internationally renowned artist Patrick Dougherty will create a unique, abstract sculpture made entirely of sticks and saplings. Dougherty will work with volunteers and staff to weave hundreds of locally gathered materials into a distinctive architectural element that may remind visitors of a nest, cocoon or even a fairy tale dwelling. This sculpture will remain in the natural environment approximately two years.
