    Kairo discusses her two novels, The Journey to Mombasa and A Kenyan's Homecoming. The Journey to Mombasa explores greed, ignorance, revenge, love and deceit through the journey of several Kenyan characters aboard an express bus to Mombasa, the country's coast. A Kenyan's Homecoming is the story of Kungu, an American who is determined to travel back to Kenya to visit his family, but faces multiple obstacles along his journey.
