Francesco D. Muto's The Garden of Light and Shadow is a loving portrait of Francesco and Pasqualina Muto who emigrated with their children to Philadelphia from Calabria, Italy in 1967. They remain connected with their homeland and family through their lush and productive garden. New Faces, follows graduates of the training program who have made the decision to make a significant change in their lives. Shmul Kaplan, directed by Penn law student, Michael Wong, tells the story of an elderly and disabled Jewish survivor and political asylee, who had his welfare benefits taken away by the US government.
