The Chemical Heritage Foundation is a library, museum, and center for scholars and maintains world-class collections, including instruments and apparatus, rare books, fine art, and the personal papers of prominent scientists, all related to the chemical and molecular sciences. The museum's permanent exhibition, Making Modernity, examines how chemistry has touched human life--frequently in unexpected ways. Visitors can trace scientific progress in the laboratory, the factory, and their homes and learn how chemistry created and continues to shape the modern world.
