The Sugar Jazz Quartet is a highly regarded team of swing merchants that deliver a deeply felt sense of blues and soul in their compositions and improvisations. Their sound is rooted in the tradition of the great Philadelphia jazz organ/guitar/saxophone combinations. This is a dynamic group that is reminiscent of Jimmy Smith, Pat Martino, and Stanley ''Sugarman'' Turrentine.
