Marc Black
April 4, 2009
Marc Black is a folk-rocker who carries on the Woodstock tradition of dealing with social and spiritual challenges one song at a time. His music ranges from free improvisations to Lightning Hopkins blues. Marc has recorded with an array of luminaries including Taj Mahal, Rick Danko, and Garth Hudson (keyboardist from the Band). He collaborated with Richie Havens on the title cut of the award-winning, American children CD, wrote the theme music for the New York Mets from 1987 till 1990, and won the Mobius for best original music in advertising.
