Josh Hisle is a confluence of two rivers, a marine and a minstrel. His first tour of duty was the invasion of Iraq in 2003. He returned home to marry his wife and they had a son soon after. Hisle's unit was re-deployed for the offensive missions in Ar Ramadi in 2004. With an old nasty guitar that Gunny sneaked over for him, he began to write about his experiences and regrets. Also performing is Michael Gilbert Ronstadt.
