
Bulgarian Traditional Singing Workshop
June 20, 2009
Join Vlada Tomova in this workshop to explore technique, sound and different styles of Bulgarian womens traditional singing, and the difference between village styles and arranged folklore, a cappella and with instrumental accompaniment. In three hours you will listen to a brief overview, warm up with specific vocal production exercises and learn two to three songs, one in diaphonic village style, and one or two arranged a cappella songs, in the style of Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares choir. Listening materials and copies of music will be provided.
