Donizetti's most famous and celebrated work, Lucia di Lammermoor is set in 17th century Scotland, and is based on Sir Walter Scott's novel, The Bride of Lammermoor. The opera features a famous ''tour-de-force'' mad scene for the soprano.

Sung in Italian with English supertitles.
