
Stories in the Rocks: Geology Hike
October 18, 2008-April 18, 2009
Third Saturday of the month, Oct -Apr For Ages 6-12. Rocks can tell stories - if you know how listen to them! During this guided walk you'll learn about the rocks and minerals beneath your feet, visit an old quarry, and learn about the mastodon and saber tooth cat fossils found right here at Valley Forge. See what the rocks and fossils reveal to us about the long-ago past. Scouts - this program can help you work toward badge requirements. Program size is limited, and pre-registration is required. Please pre-register at least 3 days prior to program date.
