Historic Pennypacker Mills is the setting for a thrilling performance of Arthur Conan Doyle’s, Sherlock Holmes and the Speckled Band. The story follows the adventures of Sherlock Holmes, the “infamous detective” known for his intellectual prowess and his skillful use of observation, deductive reasoning and inference to solve difficult cases. See Holmes in his study with Dr. Watson working out the elements of the mystery, and then follow him to an old mansion where he must stop a devious killer from committing another horrible crime! The character of Sherlock Holmes is portrayed by Neill Hartley, a professional actor, director and teacher of the performing arts. Trained in Philadelphia at Temple University, Hartley has amassed a huge repertoire in film, television, theatre, and in education. His one-man performances can be seen around the country as well as in local venues. Hartley is known for his authentic dialects, spot-on impressions, and lively performances. After the performance, Hartley will provide the audience with information about the author and the legacy of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries and take questions.
