A Conversation with Rosanne Cash
August 12, 2010
Daughter of legendary musician Johnny Cash, Rosanne Cash is a formidable singer/songwriter in her own right and a ten-time Grammy Award nominee. She's earned two gold records, had 11 no. 1 one singles, and won a Grammy Award in 1985 for her song “I Don’t Know Why You Want Me.” Also an author of short fiction and essays, Cash’s writing has appeared in the New York Times and Rolling Stone. Unconventional and compelling, her new memoir Composed details her development as an artist, her sometimes-tenuous relationship with the Nashville country music establishment and her struggles in dealing with the deaths of her beloved parents.
