Commonwealth Classic Theatre Company performs Moliere’s The Miser, as part of The Schuylkill Center's Live at The Pavilion Summer Performing Arts series. Moliere, one of the world’s most renowned playwrights, gives us a timely and horrifyingly funny look at the dark side of 'frugality" in his comic masterpiece, The Miser. The play is full of histrionics and hilarity. The wealthy Harpagon (the 'miser' in title) works feverishly to maintain his frugal lifestyle despite the mounting challenges that his children, his servants, and his own impending marriage place on his relationship with his only true love: his gold.
