Bugfest
August 14-August 15, 2010
Celebrate insects of all kinds as you learn why people cannot live without bugs. Along with the Academy’s insect scientists, you will touch live insects and maybe even eat a bug! Cheer your favorite cockroach racer on to victory in the big Roach Race 500m, make an insect sculpture to take home and see hundreds of specimens from the Academy’s world-renowned collections! The Academy's scientists will exlpain why insects are so important to the environment.
