Stray Dog
August 24, 2010
A young cop has his gun stolen on a crowded bus by a pickpocket and sets out on an impassioned investigation traversing post-war Tokyo’s squalid underbelly. Kurosawa’s crime thriller deftly explores the uneasy parallels between the law and the criminals they pursue. This film is part of Bryn Mawr Film Institute's Akira Kurosawa Retrospective film series. Presented with subtitles, this film runs 2 hr 2 min.
