National Train Day
May 8, 2010
Amtrak's third annual National Train Day will offer tours of private and Amtrak train cars, interactive and educational exhibits, and live entertainment from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - all for free. Highlights will include:
"Baseball Junction: The History of Baseball and the American Railroad." Memorabilia, photos, news clippings and videos depicting the era when baseball and rail travel went hand in hand.
Tom Douglas, of Tom Douglas Restaurants in Seattle, will prepare a dish featured in Amtrak's Acela Express First Class service. 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale at noon and Phresh Select at 2:30 p.m.
Radio Disney Road Crew, throughout the day.
