13th Annual New Filmmakers Weekend
May 1-May 3, 2010
The Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival is gearing up for its biggest New Filmmakers Weekend yet! On May 1st through 3rd, join us for a powerhouse weekend of films from some of the most talented new and emerging independent filmmakers from around the world.
We are also thrilled to announce a very special guest who will be joining us on opening night this year! Andrew Kosove, producer of the academy award-nominated The Blind Side (2009), as well as The Book of Eli (2010) and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005), among many others, will share the stage with Carol Saline for a fascinating discussion prior to the evening’s festivities.
The Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival recognizes that the making of one’s first film can be the most challenging and precarious period in a filmmaker’s career. By noticing these filmmakers and highlighting their amazing work, we hope to offer a springboard for their continued success, not only in the creative process, but also by exposing their work to new audiences.
