    Featuring artwork produced during the 2009 NewCourtland Artist Fellowship as part of the Comfort & Joy program alongside the work of NewCourtland Fellows. The NewCourtland Artist Fellowship is a premier program of Comfort & JoyTM, an intergenerational arts and cultural intiative that serves as the “art & soul” of NewCourtland, preventing social isolation amongst the seniors it serves while celebrating the talents and experiences of all generations.

    The mission of the Center for Emerging visual Artists is to advance the careers of visual artists in the region, to promote relationships between artists and the communities in which they live, and to increase access to visual art for everyone.

    NewCourtland Fellows: Maria Anasazi, Marguerita C. Hagan, Pedro Ospina, Diane Podolsky, Antonio Puri, Rachel Shoham, Lindsay Sparagana, Ben Volta, Lisa Volta, Mariel Waloff. NewCourtland Network Locations: Care Pavilion, Cheltenham York Road, Cliveden, Germantown Home, Kearsley, Maplewood Manor, NewCourtland LIFE, Philadelphia Senior Center-Main, Philadelphia Senior Center-Tioga, Tucker House. Community Partners: Blair Christian Academy, Kenderton Elementary, Methodist Services, Moore College of Art, Northern Home for Children The University of the Arts.
