Art in the Open Philadelphia: Garden History Tour
June 11-June 13, 2010
Tour the historic garden and discover the plants that the Bartrams collected and cultivated, making Bartram's Garden the birthplace of American botany. Each season there is something new to experience in the garden with seasonal blooms and migratory birds. Early June one of William Bartram's most popular discoveries, the oak leaf hydrangea is dripping in large white blooms. The common flower garden is a riot of color with love-lies-bleeding, kiss-me-over-the-garden-gate, nodding onion and many more curious flowers.
