FILM
Betzwood Film Festival
May 1, 2010
Nickelodeon comedy night. You know you’re in trouble when: 1. You don’t see the steamroller coming; 2. Your engagement ring ends up submerged in custard; 3. One hundred dogs chase you all the way to the cemetery; 4. The maid you just hired is drunk and turns out to be a man. And this is just the beginning of the fun! Join MCCC for an evening of silent comedies made by the Lubin Film Company at its studios in Philadelphia and at Betzwood in the years 1904-1916. Professor Joseph Eckhardt will discuss the films and the stars and directors who made them, and as always, the films will be accompanied live on the organ by the ever-popular Don Kinnier.
