Moliere, one of the world’s most renowned playwrights, gives us a timely and horrifyingly funny look at the dark side of ‘frugality” in his comic masterpiece, The Miser which tells the story of a family pushed to the brink by the father’s paranoid and fanatical fondness for his money. Presented by Commonwealth Classic Theatre. Abington Art Center and Abington Township’s Parks & Recreation Department co-host a series of Thursday evening concerts and theatre in the park on the Abington Bank Stage in AAC’s Sculpture Park. The series is a perfect opportunity for friends and families to come together, spread a blanket on the lawn of the Sculpture Park and listen to the sizzling sounds of the summer music series or enjoy theatre. Backing up the performances are lots of dancing, fresh popcorn, food and drinks from Trolley Car Diner, kid’s art activities, and a special visit to the art galleries. Pennoni Associates is the Presenting Sponsor of the 2010 Concerts at the Manor. Rain or shine.
