Doylestown's Bicentennial School Plaque Dedication Presented by Doylestown Historical Society and Doylestown Bicentennial Committee May 31, 2012 The Doylestown High School was built in 1889 and destroyed by fire in 1973. It was the school from which such luminaries as Margaret Meade and James Michener graduated. The school plaque is the only part of the school still remaining.
