Born in Venezuela, he has been performing jazz, Latin and African originated music in the United States for more than 20 years.  His ensemble Nagrul Spirits has released three recordings touring South America and Europe promoting Latin jazz and Afro-Caribbean music.  A distinguished educator,  he has received the Governor's Award in Arts Education in New Jersey recognizing his distinguished work in performing and teaching.
