Jamie Wyeth has explored this tradition in a series of paintings that depict raucous, scavenging seabirds as stand-ins for human sinners. Jamie Wyeth – Seven Deadly Sins, demonstrates the artist's knowledge of Herring and Black-backed gull anatomy and behavior, as well as his perception view of human characters reflected in nature. In addition to seven major paintings, the exhibition includes related works and the painting Inferno, 2006, which served as the springboard for Wyeth's interpretive series.
