 c images from rare books\, Dr. Anke Timmermann will decipher the often mis
 understood story of alchemy\, from its beginnings and medieval heyday to i
 ts eventual demise in the shadows of modern chemistry.This program is part
  of the Institute's evening lecture series\, &ldquo\;Weeknights at the Wag
 ner.&rdquo\; Dr. Timmermann will speak on Thursday\, November 5th\, 2009\,
