  is a Latin jazz composer\, percussionist and educator and a prominent fig
 ure on the Latin American cultural scene.  Born in Venezuela\, he has been
  performing jazz\, Latin and African originated music in the United States
  for more than 20 years.  His ensemble Nagrul Spirits has released three r
 ecordings touring South America and Europe promoting Latin jazz and Afro-C
 aribbean music.  A distinguished educator\,  he has received the Governor'
 s Award in Arts Education in New Jersey recognizing his distinguished work
  in performing and teaching.  Marlon will be doing a week-long residency a
 t Pottstown Middle School and a performance on the West Campus. \n\nStart
