 w Arab Music Ensemble\, led by violinist Hanna Khoury\, with guest percuss
 ionist Hafez El Ali Kotain. The repertoire is classical Arab music\, inclu
 ding original compositions by Simon Shaheen. Participation is open to sing
 ers of all levels and intermediate to advanced musicians playing strings\,
  wind\, or percussion (3rd-12th graders and college students). First demon
 stration workshop is held on September 23rd (bring your instrument). Group
  instruction is held on Wednesday evenings at U-Penn campus beginning Sept
 ember 30th. Ensemble to perform in a Spring 2010 Concert with Simon Shahee
 n   Singers.  All sessions held at Parish Hall of St. Mary's Church (on th
 e U-Penn campus)\, 3916 Locust Walk\, in West Philadelphia   If you are in
 terested in learning to play an Arab instrument\, private instruction is a
 vailable with experienced musicians on the 'oud\, nay\, flute\, violin\, v
 iola\, and percussion.\n\nStart time: Singers: 6-7:30 pm\nInstrumentalists
