 9-11-20\n\nDigital images are created and displayed on our computers in va
 st quantities and with constantly accelerating speeds. In this class you w
 ill take a step back from this frenzied process and focus on what goes int
 o making a photograph distinct and compelling. Using whatever digital came
 ra is available to them\, students will create images utilizing techniques
  of proper exposure\, principles of composition\, understanding of lightin
 g\, and use of subject matter. Emphasis in this class is on the developmen
 t of the student's self-expression and the creation of a digital portfolio
 .  The computer will be used only to edit and minimally process images. Ba
 sic understanding of photography is not required. Basic understanding of M
 AC is helpful\, but not required. This class will run for eight\, three ho
 ur sessions. Class time will be split between lecture\, shooting\, and lab
  time. Students will also be required to frequently shoot assignments afte
 r class for discussion the following day.\n\nStart time: 4-6 pm
