 f Photographic Vision I. The emphasis of this course will be placed on und
 erstanding the relationship between exposure\, film processing\, and print
 ing. Students will spend most of their time in the darkroom\, exploring th
 e use of fiber base paper\, fine-tuned contrast adjustment\, dodging and b
 urning\, and the different tones of papers.  Outside the darkroom\, studen
 ts will be challenged to produce different types of photographic expressio
 ns through short-term and long-term assignments\, integrated with visual k
 nowledge from slide lectures.  In addition to in-class meetings\, there wi
 ll be occasional shooting trips and museum and gallery visits outside the 
 class. Although these are not mandatory\, students are strongly encouraged
  to attend these extra sessions.\n\nStart time: 7-10 pm
