 \, functional woodland shelters which will enhance the experience of visit
 ors to the Schuylkill Center. The project is meant to build awareness of t
 he applied possibilities and meaning of sustainability and its impact on o
 ur lives and our connection to the natural world. The competition encourag
 ed collaboration between artists\, designers and architects\, in order to 
 demonstrate and promote new\, unique\, and inspiring approaches to sustain
 able design and building techniques. The six finalists will build their sh
 elters at the Schuylkill Center in the spring\, with an opening reception 
 on Saturday May 9\, 2009.
